Exports are a key element of BPEX strategy
BPEX role is to:
- Work with Government and Embassies to open or reopen markets Third Country markets to exports of English pork products.
- Assist in the UK and abroad abattoirs and processors of English pork to develop export sales.
- Provide information on pork trading and export markets.
- Support the marketing of breeding pigs and porcine germaplasm.
- Target and exploit key opportunities for the promotion of English pork products.
- Coordinate export promotional activities with Food From Britain and the British Pig Association.
To achieve these objectives, BPEX
- Publishes a weekly report on pork trading and targeted market surveys.
- Operates an export office in Winterhill House.
- Has a representative in France, Italy, Germany, Benelux and Greece.
