A joint Defra and Welsh Assembly Government consultation invites your views on the structure and content of draft environmental permitting guidance for exempt waste operations.

This guidance has been drafted as part of the review of waste exemptions from environmental permitting being undertaken by Defra, the Welsh Assembly Government and the Environment Agency. The aim of the review is to provide a more risk based and proportionate approach to the regulation of waste recovery and disposal operations, complementing the new environmental permitting regime.
